SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced today that rural health care providers may apply for the $20 million available from the Rural Health CareDelivery Fund allocated earlier this year as part of the governor’s commitment to expanding health care in New Mexico.
“This $20 million investment demonstrates our dedication to improving rural health care access across New Mexico,” said Gov. Lujan Grisham. “We encourage all eligible providers to take advantage of this opportunity and work with my administration to strengthen the health care services in their communities.”
This additional funding builds on the success of the initial $126 million investment made through the fund over the last two years. That funding provided crucial support to rural health care providers across the state, helping to offset operational costs and expand services.
This funding cycle will expand access to primary care services statewide. By prioritizing primary care expansion, this funding opportunity aims to strengthen community health infrastructure, improve health outcomes, and ensure that people living in rural areas have access to high-quality health care in their communities.
To help interested providers better understand this funding opportunity, the state is hosting a webinar titled “FY26-28 Rural Health Care Delivery Fund: Overview and Application Guidance,” designed to provide detailed information on how to apply for these funds.
