National Minority Health Month is a reminder that health outcomes aren’t equal for everyone, and that we have to actively work to close those gaps in care. It also highlights how racial bias can show up even in Electronic Health Records, where language and documentation can reinforce disparities and impact how patients are treated.

Residency programs across New Mexico welcome a new class of interns and celebrate the future of physician training in our communities.
